Evolution of a Song

Just caught wind of this new Roots track, which aside of being very good, heavily samples Joanna Newsom’s “The Book of Right-On”.  So track back a couple of years, somewhere between the time when the Roots started to read Pitchfork and Joanna took up harp lessons, Pocketknife gave the track a kick drum and made it danceable.  Then, this Clouds dude comes along, flips the track completely and drowns Ms. Newsom in bass.  Right on!
