Diplomats Feat. Three 6 Mafia – That Purple Punch

Happy Saturday.
Amanda Blank ft. Spank Rock – Gimme What you Got

Hip Hop quickie. When I was up north a little whiles back, I heard this maino track every 10 minutes on Hot 97 but haven’t heard it since. Sooo, is it the new ‘Saturday in the Park’ or what?
Maino ft. Swizz Beatz – A Million Bucks
The Miami Dolphins used to play this song on a 3rd and long defensive stand back in the day.
When a remix is this good it’s hard to ever to go back to the original. I don’t know if this was ever released but Santana and Papoose’s verses are pretty much perfect.
T.I – What you Know (Remix ft. Juelz Santana & Papoose)

I had the pleasure of DJing a family friend’s wedding over the weekend. It was a blast from beginning to end, very unique all around. Here are some of his Jams I didn’t get the chance to play inbetween Love Shack and Dancing Queen. Photo by Jennifer MacFarlane
Loose Joints – Is It All Over My Face
Lyn ‘The Female Preacher’ Collins – Rock Me Again & Again & Again & Again & Again & Again

Been wanting to post these tracks for a while. So here they are. Sorry I couldn’t be more insightful.
Armenta – I Wanna Be With You (part 2)

Whoa, two posts in one day is either a) unbelievable or b) unnecessary. Whichever, I did want to balance the day out with a couple danceable party gems (imo) to counteract the snoozefest of a post below. So, I never really got into Morrissey’s solo stuff, wasn’t a big Felix da Housecat fan, and alot of the Vampire Weekend stuff doesn’t do it for me, although they are a bunch of snappy dressers. That being said, I’m not too proud to give credit where credits due, three solid tracks from the aforementioned artists (and others). Let’s boogie.
Morrissey – When I Last Spoke to Carol (Toy Selectah Remix)
Felix da Housecat – We All Wanna Be Prince
The Very Best – Warm Heart of Africa ft. Ezra Koenig

Been feeling under the weather lately, thus making way for more posts, goin in. Cat Power completely kills this Percy Sledge classic, Nacey half times La Roux, adds some keys and mellows out one of the hugest tunes of the past couple months, and Emily Wells comes up big with that breathy, innocent voice you can’t not dig. Cheers.
Cat Power – At the Dark End of the Street
La Roux – Bulletproof (Nacey Remix ft. Matt Hemerlein)
Emily Wells – Take it Easy San Francisco
